Dave
Tice & Mark Evans are two seasoned musicians
who have evolved separately and together to form
Australia's premier hard-edged acoustic duo. Their
talents are now very much in demand across the planet,
in fact, the Known Universe. Dave's powerful vocals
and blues harp and the driving swampy guitar work
emanating from Mark, bring new life to R'n'B classics
by Sam Cooke, Chuck Berry, Screamin' Jay Hawkins,
Robert Johnson and Eric Burdon that have also influenced
and enriched their original tunes.
Dave Tice's musical
history began in the early '70s as front man for
legendary Aussie heavy rock pioneers 'Buffalo';
recording five albums in five years and enjoying
chart success and huge critical acclaim while touring
extensively. Dave was seduced to return to his homeland,
England, to join the famed 'Count Bishops', who
were at the forefront of the British R'n'B revival.
Driven by his distinctive vocals, this seminal blues
outfit recorded three albums and showcased their
talents to sell out houses across Great Britain
and Europe. Dave's songwriting abilities were recognised
by his contemporaries and he was coerced into co-writing
album material for 'Dr Feelgood' with their legendary
guitarist Johnny Guitar.
Mark Evans is the
original bass player from the late '70's classic
AC/DC line-up featuring Bon Scott. This period of
the band yielded the landmark albums 'High Voltage',
'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap', 'TNT' and 'Let There
Be Rock', including the massive and instantly recognisable
tracks; 'Jalibreak', 'TNT' and 'It's a Long Way
to the Top'. Mark was based in London with AC/DC
recording and touring extensively and his distinctive
bass can be heard on some thirty million albums
across the globe.
