1920 (Planche XLV) Hand printed black and white etching
on Tinted Chine Francaise from Matisse's “Cinquante
Dessins” Portfolio. Plate Signed lower right,
from a limited edition of 1,000. This piece is almost
90 years old and in pristine condition. The portfolio,
containing 50 portraits of women was a study of the
female form and spirit. The piece is custom framed
in antique gold molding museum quality frame. Thanks

• PABLO PICASSO "Clown Bowing to his Love",
1954. Colour Lithograph from Picasso's "Human
Comedy" series. When he began the series in November
1953, Picasso had just been left by wife Francoise
Gilot. The overall character of his art at this time
was marked by anxieties about ageing and fears of
solitude, obsolescence, and death. In the "Human
Comedy", Picasso depicts himself as the circus
leader, the king, the painter and the adored clown.

• MARC CHAGALL "Bay of Angels", 1960.
Original lithograph in colors on white wove paper
from Chagall's Lithographie I Portfolio. Marc Chagall
was reknowned for his artistic celebration of romance
and depictions of mystical worlds of lovers, musicians
and artists. One of Chagall's earliest color lithographs.
Chagall's love affair with Paris was well documented

• JOAN MIRO "Melodie Acide" (II),
1980. Original Colour lithograph on Velin d'Arches
paper, signed in the plate and hand numbered by Miro.
Regarded as one of the most influential 20th century
artists, Miró’s work continues to be
among the more desirable with fine art collectors.
The Melodie Acide is one of Miro's most well known
portfolios, and each piece maintains his tradition
of visual symbolic language; conjuring primary colors
and form transformations that stir each viewer differently.
