• HENRI MATISSE "Portrait of a Woman", 1920 (Planche XLV) Hand printed black and white etching on Tinted Chine Francaise from Matisse's “Cinquante Dessins” Portfolio. Plate Signed lower right, from a limited edition of 1,000. This piece is almost 90 years old and in pristine condition. • PABLO PICASSO "Clown Bowing to his Love", 1954. Colour Lithograph from Picasso's "Human Comedy" series. When he began the series in November 1953, Picasso had just been left by wife Francoise Gilot. The overall character of his art at this time was marked by anxieties about ageing and fears of solitude, obsolescence, and death. In the "Human Comedy", Picasso depicts himself as the circus leader, the king, the painter and the adored clown. Dated in the plate. Thanks to Chase Gallery - Sydney
• MARC CHAGALL "Bay of Angels", 1960. Original lithograph in colors on white wove paper from Chagall's Lithographie I Portfolio. Marc Chagall was reknowned for his artistic celebration of romance and depictions of mystical worlds of lovers, musicians and artists. One of Chagall's earliest color lithographs.
